Man bludgeoned to death in Indora over old enmity, 3 accused arrested

In a late night bloody brawl, a middle-aged man was bludgeoned to death by three criminals over old enmity. The brutal murder was reported in Indora area which went tense on Tuesday. Three accused have been arrested in connection with the crime.

According to details, a long standing feud was running between the deceased Rakesh Bapurao Ramteke (45) and the three accused Suraj Manwatkar (25), Vishwas alias Guddu Dahiwale (25) and Kamalesh alias Kamya Patil (30) over some issue. The old rivalry took the worst turn on Tuesday night. Around 11.30 pm, Rakesh Ramteke was standing in front of his house situated in Republican Nagar, Barakholi, Indora. At the same time the three accused were reportedly creating nuisance under the influence of liquor. When Rakesh asked the rampaging accused to leave the place, they started a wordy duel with him. The hot exchange of words soon turned into a bloody brawl when the three accused attacked Rakesh with wooden rods and hockey sticks. They smashed Rakesh’s head and face with repeated blows and injured him critically. The profusely bleeding Rakesh died on the spot even before any medical treatment could be provided to him. After the murderous attack, the accused trio fled the spot and went absconding. Tension ran high in the area following the grisly murder.

It is learnt that the deceased Rakesh Ramteke earlier used to work as painter and recently joined an anti-termite chemical manufacturing company in Gaddigudam. He was staying with wife, Vaishali, son Abhay and daughter Priyanka.

Jaripatka API Jadhavar, acting on a complaint filed by the deceased’s wife Vaishali Ramteke, booked the three accused Suraj Manwatkar, Vishwas alias Guddu Dahiwale and Kamalesh alias Kamya Patil (30) under Section 302 of IPC and succeeded in arresting them within an hour of the murder.
