Man asks for lift, loots away bike on knife point on Wardha road

Nagpur: In an audacious act, a man was relieved of his bike by a pillion threatening him with a knife on Wednesday evening.

Amol Suresh Bangade (31), resident of Hanuman Nagar, was heading back to home on his bike (MH/40/BN/5338) after his work in Wardha on Wednesday evening. In between accused, who introduced himself as Aashish Mahadevrao Baliram (24) native of Karanja, Wardha requested lift till Nagpur and boarded his bike.

However as soon as the duo reach the entry gate of Mihan Telara Lake, under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon police, accused asks Amol to stop bike as he has to attend nature’s call.

Subsequently, the accused took out knife from his bag and shooed Amol away. He later zoomed away from the spot before the complainant could raise any alarm.

Followed by the complaint of Amol, Sonegaon police has registered a case under section 392 of IPC. Further details are awaited.
