Counting trends from across Maharashtra indicate a strong lead for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the ongoing local body elections. Out of 2,869 seats, results or trends are available for 1,755 seats so far.
At the state level, the BJP is leading with 908 seats, maintaining a clear edge over its rivals. The Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) follows with 250 seats, while the Congress has secured 191 seats. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) stands at 109 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) at 103, NCP (SP) at 22, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) at 17, VBA at 10, and other parties and independents together account for 145 seats.
Meanwhile, the picture in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) appears decisively tilted in BJP’s favour.
Out of a total of 151 seats, results are available for 143 seats so far.
- BJP: 103 seats
- Congress: 29 seats
- Others: 13 seats
With these numbers, the BJP has crossed the majority mark comfortably in Nagpur, reinforcing its political stronghold in the city. The Congress trails far behind, while other parties and independents remain limited in presence.
As counting continues, the trends point towards a strong BJP performance both statewide and in Nagpur, with final results awaited for the remaining seats.
