Maharashtra government will be owning a 3-storey house in London, which once used to be the residence of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Confirming the development, Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde has put the information on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
Dr.Ambedkar’s London residence to be purchased by State govt. Visited the house & spoke to the Buddhist foundation President & met with IHC.

Tawde who is currently in London, spoke to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is on tour of Davos, following which the decision was taken to buy the house that was on the block for Rs 35 crore.
The residence will be open to public from April 14, Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.
