Nagpur: Residents of Medical Quarters in front of Ajni Railway Station went panicky when a number of live cartridges and empty boxes of bullets were spotted lying in a gutter chamber of the area. The lethal stuff was discovered while repair of the gutter chamber pipeline was being carried.
Two officers of Army and a team of Crime Branch reached the spot on Tuesday and started investigation into finding of the live cartridges. The gutter chamber from where the bullets and empty boxes were recovered was situated near a quarter where an Army Jawan R K Shrivastav was residing. He had left the quarter a few days ago. It is learnt that Shrivastav was Storekeeper of NCC Wing in Medical College.
Taking the discovery of bullets seriously, the Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham has ordered a thorough investigation. With the discovery of the deadly stuff, two Army officers visited the spot in a white coloured Gypsy car and inspected the gutter chamber. A team of Crime Branch also reached and carried out spot investigation.
