Nagpur Today: Lions Club Nagpur city had recently organized their Charter Nite celebration titled ‘Samarpan’ at Tuli Imperial at Ramdaspeth. This is Lions Club’s Anniversary celebration held every year in style and in a grand manner.
The Chief Guest for the function was District Governor MJF Lion Navinbhai Patel while the Guests of Honour were Maharajah of Nagpur Raje Mudhoji Bhonsle and Vijay Palliwal. The organizing committee members of Lions Club also made it a point to invite members of other Lion Clubs of Nagpur District.
The Lions and the Lioness dressed in the best attire enjoyed the anniversary celebrations.
The organizing committee was headed by President Surendra Sekhsaria, Secretary Sanjay Bhivgade, Treasurer CA Sandeep Jotwani and Jayant Bhansali (DG visiting Chairman) Charter Nite Chairman Rajesh Joshi and Co-ordinator Adv. Ashish Agrawal ensured that the programme goes on with clockwise precision.
The guests were accorded a warm welcome and the office-bearers of Lions Club ensured that the guests were attended to. The Founders of Lions’ Club in Nagpur city Rameshbhai Shah and Dr Sobhana Shah performed the cake-cutting ceremony.
Lovely music followed the cake-cutting ceremony. The singers and performers of Kadar Orchestra kept the audience regalled.
During the programme the various achievements and feats of Lions’ Club was also showcased. The guests who came to the event lauded the efforts of the Lions’ Club. Around 250-300 guests attended the Charter Nite celebration titled ‘Samarpan’. 70 to 80 members of the Lions’ Club attended the anniversary celebrations.
