    Nagpur News:

Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Shri Shyam Wardhane and DyMC Shri Pramod Bhusari, a team lead by LBT Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha along with LBT Officers Yadav Jambhulkar, Nandu Bhowate, and LBT Inspector Ulhas Motghare, Sumer Gajbhiye, , Nitin Sakore, Vilas Chahande, Vijay Chetnani, Binekar, Vanikar, Dhumal , Borkar,Kale , Hood, and drivers Sonekar, Dule,Naidu, Shinde, made a search at 3 places viz. Faisal Car Decor, Ganapati Auto Sales and Salasar Enterprises, all the dealers in car assessors, seat covers, car tapes etc.

The dealer Faisal Car decor is the leading dealer in car seat cover, car tapes and such other products in Old Bagadganj, Gangabai Ghat Road . The dealer had not yet made any LBT payment. No Purchase register is yet prepared and no pucca sale bills are being issued by the dealer. The dealer might have hidden all of his purchases in the purchase register , as required in Rule 19, to evade taxes . On inspection , it was found that the dealer use to make kutccha sale bills .Inventory of all the stock available is being taken. Records of purchases are being called and accordingly assessment will be done accordingly and LBT liabilities including penalty will be fixed.

The dealers Ganapati auto agency is also a dealer in car seat covers and other car decoration items. The dealer had not disclosed one of his godowns, and also not made any LBT payments, inspite outside city purchases from Delhi. The dealer had not made any purchase register and no pucca sale bills are being issued. Similar was the case with Salaskar Enterprises, a dealer in car decor items, who has not made any LBT payments and not prepared any Purchase register and not issuing sale bills as required in rules.

Repeatedly, it is being observed that many dealers are not issuing sale bills to their customers, as required in Rule 22. Further, all the purchases are not being shown in the purchase register and lot of goods are being brought in through some kutchha or cash transaction and such purchase records are not being disclosed. Many dealer who are genuinely paying LBT are suffering from LBT evaders as unhealthy competition is created in the market due due such evaders, as such dealers are selling the products at lesser price, thereby causing loss to guanine dealers as well as Corporation.
