LBT : Morcha gets tremendous response, memorandum submitted to Uday Sawant

Nagpur News: Huge morcha against LBT led by Dipen Agrawal under the agies of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce was taken out today on Friday.

According to Press release, around 10,000 to 12,000 traders participated in the Morcha which started from Yashwant Stadium & passed through Netaji market, Shani Mandir road & reached Tekdi road where Morcha was stopped & later addressed by Vilas Muttemwar, Congress MP. Devendra, MLA & Maharashtra Pradesh BJP President & all the Nagpur MLAs was Nagpur from various parties, apart from Dipen Agrawal, Rameshkumar Mantri & Mohan Gurnani.

Later in the day Minister of State for Urban Development Uday Sawant addressed the Morcha and assured the traders that he shall convey the sentiment to Chief Minister, since the Chief Minister was in Aurangabad.
Dipen Agrawal and Mohan Gurnani presented the representations of 26 Municipal Corporation to Hon. Uday Sawant, Minister of State for Urban Development, Government of Maharashtra.

Along with Vilasrao Muttemwar, MP, MLA Dinanath Padole & leader of the opposition party in NMC Vikas Thakre were also present & supported the NVCC’s demand of withdrawal of LBT & stated that they will discuss the issue with the Chief Minister again and impress upon him to withdraw LBT.

On the occasion Devendra Fadnavis, President, BJP Maharashtra addressing the huge Morcha said that in the current session of the assembly he will put the demand of withdrawal of LBT through Kam Roko resolution & read out the details of MEDC report. He further said that the BJP is also opposing LBT & the Party is with the traders.

Dipen Agrawal, President on his behalf & on behalf of trading community thanked Devendra Fadnavis & appealed him that BJP is ruling NMC & the traders are harassed, the raids are going on & Inspector Raj is there & trading community is doing their business under pressure. He demanded that such untoward incidents should not be occurred. Devendra Fadnavis assured that suitable instructions would be given to such officers not to initiate severe action with the business community. Sarva Sudhakar Deshmukh, Krishnaji Khopde & Vikas Khumbhare MLAs were also present.

Rameshkumar Mantri, Convener, LBT Virodhi Sangharsh Samiti, while addressing the Morcha said that, till the withdrawal of LBT the agitation will be continued. Mohan Gurnani, President, Federation of Associations of Maharashtra addressing the members of trading community stated that FAM is already opposing the LBT from the beginning.

Dipen Agrawal, President while addressing the Morcha said that all the traders observed Trade Bandh by keeping down the shutters of their shops & establishments & joined the Morcha & maintained peace & calm. He thanked & further said that the Chief Minister is out of station hence till the arrival of urban development Minister the Morcha would halt here.

Various trade leaders also addressed the Morcha. Minister of State for Urban Development Uday Sawant reached the spot of Morcha, Chambers President Dipen Agrawal, handed over a Memorandum to him. Uday Sawant Minister accepted the Memorandum and assured that he would meet the Chief Minister & convince him about the traders problem on LBT.

Dipen Agrawal, President & Rameshkumar Mantri, Convener, LBT Virodhi Sangharsh Samiti jointly thanked all the members of trading community of Nagpur as well as Akola, Amravati & Chandrapur for their esteemed co-operation & support for the just cause of trading community.
