Nagpur: A woman, working as Recurring Deposit (RD) recovery agent, was robbed of Rs 70,000 in cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 6000 by two motorcycle-borne ruffians in Jaripatka area here on Sunday night.
The complainant Janki Shrichand Rangwani (47), resident of Plot No. 422, near Sindhu Balodyan, Jaripatka, was returning home walking around 10 pm after collecting the Recurring Deposit installment amounts. As Janki reached near Union Bank midway, two motorcycle-borne miscreants, in the age group of 22-25 years, came near her from behind and snatched her bag containing Rs 70,000 in cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 6000. Even before Janki could raise an alarm, the two muggers sped away on their bike.
Jaripatka API K D Wagh has registered a case against the two robbers under Sections 379, 34 of IPC and mounted a search to apprehend them.
