Khapri Tanker Fire: Drivers booked for negligence

Nagpur News : Sonegaon police have booked unidentified persons and drivers of oil tankers that caught fire on January 5. According to information, eight oil tankers that were parked near residential area caught fire and fire department had a hard time in controlling the fire. Police said, the oil tankers had fire sensitive oil, Furnace oil. The tanker drivers parked the tankers Khapri Wardha Road and left. After sometime, the tankers caught fire which evoke immense fear among the residents. Fire tender reached within minutes and controlled the fire due to which a major mishap was averted.

Cops have started the investigations in this regard. However, cops could not ascertain how the tankers caught fire. The chances of some anti-social elements intentionally exposing the fire sensitive oils to fire could not be ruled out.

Cops have booked all the tanker driver and some unidentified persons under the Sections 435, 283, 285, 336, and 34 of the IPC.
