Nagpur News: Three employees of Khandelwal Jewellers, located in Dharampeth in Nagpur, duped the owner by replacing some expensive pieces of jewellery displayed in showcases with cheap counterparts.
Accused Datta Bangde, Girgarh Bangde and Yogesh Asre had allegedly replaced three golden chains and two necklaces with similar looking jewellery that had no hallmark. The total cost of the jewellery is Rs. 7 lakh.
Store owner Jagdish Ukey,a resident of Teka Naka- Nari Road, filed a case with the Sitabuldi police station upon discovering the switch. Two of the accused, Datta and Girgarh Bangde, are already languishing in Central Jail due to a previous robbery case. A fresh case has been filed against all three accused.
