Nagpur: A 15-year old juvenile offender, who was involved in a crime in Koradi area and was sent to Government Boys Remand Home, escaped on Saturday afternoon. Cops have launched a search but have failed to trace him so far.

The juvenile accused, lodged in the Government Boys Remand Home situated at Patankar Square in Jaripatka area, was taken to the playground along with other boys between 4.30 pm and 5.45 pm on Saturday. However, the accused boy dodged the ‘watchful’ eyes of Remand Home authorities and escaped from the scene. When the juvenile offender was nowhere to be seen the Remand Home authorities searched him frantically but drew a blank. Finally, Gangadhar Sukhdeo Hatwar of the Remand Home lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police.

PSI R K Thakur, following the Supreme Court order, has registered the case under Section 363 of the IPC and has mounted a search to trace the boy..
