Nagpur: Senior journalist, Ponnala Gourishankar has taken out a cycle rally across the country demanding the government to change Indian Press Council as Indian Media Council reached Nagpur on September 4.
Gourishankar also Demands the government to establish state wide centres of the Indian Media Council so that issues of journalists could be tackled at the state level itself.
Such centres will protect journalists and will give speedy justice in the wake of attacks on them by private players as well as the Government.
The cycle yatra also propagates the need to plant trees for turning India into a green country and save environment. He says children should be inculcated this habit so that they protect trees as they grow and are More concerned about environment.
