Nagpur: On the third day of JITO Premier League-2018 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, four matches were conducted at Bishop Cotton School ground.
The first game was played between Milton Warriors and Raisoni Achievers. Milton won the toss and elected to bowl first. Raisoni scored 62 runs for loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 10 overs. Milton Warriors achieved a facile 9-wicket victory by chasing the total in 5.3 over losing only one wicket. Jigar Bagdia was declared Man of the Match for his gritty 31 runs for Milton.
The second game of the third day was played between Nakoda Challengers and Wardhaman Warriors. After winning the toss, Nakoda elected to bowl first. Wardhaman Warriors scored 83 runs fo the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs. Chasing the total, Nakoda reached the target losing 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets. The winning team also earned bonus points. Nakoda’s Mayut Bothra who scored 45 runs of just 20 balls was declared Man of the Match.
The third match saw Pagaria Strikers and Jejani Fortune Fighters vying with each other. Jejani won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 97 runs losing 4 wickets in 10 overs and threw challenge to Pagaria Strikers to get the imposing total. Pagaria Strikers struggled and were bundled out for only 73 runs giving 24 run victory and bonus points to the rivals. Aman Jain was Man of the Match for his 33 ball 64 runs.
Confidence Elite Stars and SMS Smashers played the fourth match of the day. SMS Smashers elected to bowl first after winning the toss. Batting first, Confidence Elite Stars could manage only 89 runs losing 5 wickets in allotted 10 overs. Chasing the total, SMS Smashers won the match by 6 wickets by reaching the target. Vijay Jhaveri was Man of the Match for scoring 29 runs for SMS Smashers.
Raisoni Achievers won in an exciting game against Team Anandam. After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Raisoni Achievers restricted Team Anandam to 64 runs for loss of 8 wickets. Raisoni achieved the target in just 7.5 overs losing 7 wickets and won the match by 3 wickets and bonus points as well. Man of the Match was Rohit Jain who scored 32 runs for Raisoni Achievers.
On Thursday, Nakoda Challengers will play against Team Anandam, Raisoni Achievers plays Wardhaman Warriors, Arun Avengers will vie with SMS Smashers and Pagaria Strikers will take on Confidence Elite Stars.
