JITO Premier League: Jejani Fortune Fighters, Nakoda Challengers to clash in final

Nagpur: Jejani Fortune Fighters and Nakoda Challengers will clash in finals of JITO Premier League-2018 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament. Both the teams defeated their opponents in semi-finals played at Bishop Cotton School ground on Saturday. The final will be played on Sunday.

The first semi-final played between Jejani Fortune Fighters and Raisoni Achievers. After winning the toss, Raisoni decided to bowl first. Jejani in their allotted 12 overs, scored 121 runs for loss of 5 wickets. Chasing the imposing total, Raisoni Achievers were bundled out for paltry 78 runs and thus gave Jejani a 43-run win and place in final. Aman Jain, who scored his third fifty in the tournament, was declared Man of the Match for his 67 runs and a wicket.

SMS Smashers and Nakoda Challengers vied with each other in the second semi final to enter in the title clash. Winning the toss, SMS Smashers chose to bowl first. Nakoda Challengers scored 79 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 12 overs. In their chase, SMS Smashers developed cold feet and could manage only 51 runs in 10.2 overs. Nakoda won the match by 28 runs and entered the final. For his 25 runs, Vikas Jain won Man of the Match trophy.

Along with the final match between Jejani Fortune Fighters and Nakoda Challengers, a match between President’s XI and Secretary’s XI will also be organised. An All Ladies match will also be held on the day.
