A daughter-in-law filed a complaint against her in-laws and husband of not returning her gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 3 crore. The complainant Upinder Kaur Gurvinderpal Singh Vij (42) had given her silver and gold ornaments to her mother-in-law to keep them safely. But, when Upinder Kaur asked for her jewellery, her mother-in-law, father-in-law and her husband refused to return it back.

A resident of Clock Town, Upinder Kaur, filed a complaint with Jaripatka Police Station against her husband and in-laws. She alleged that she had given to keep the ornaments safely to her mother-in-law between February 25 and March 11, 2013, but her mother-in-law reused to return the jewellery and threatened to kill her if she again asks for the jewellery.
