Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi completed 22 years of marriage on June 2 ie yesterday. It would have definitely been a grand celebration had the talented diva been alive today. Her sudden death on February 25th this year, due to accidental drowning in Dubai, left the entire Kapoor family, her dear kids and husband and her legion of fans, in a state of grief and despair. Her family is still trying to come to terms with this irreparable loss, but not a day goes by that they do not miss her presence in their lives.
Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram to share a rare yet beautiful pic of their parents on this important day. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture definitely doesn’t need a caption. Boney Kapoor’s fondness for his wife is very much evident in this pic and the awe and love with which Janhvi is seen looking at her parents, goes to show how much she looks up to them and the love they had for each other. Janhvi must definitely have very high expectations about love and the person she would want to spend the rest of her life with, given she has grown up seeing her parents redefine love every step of the way.
On the other hand, as the couple completed 22 years, Boney Kapoor, who manages Sridevi’s Twitter handle now to keep her in the memories of her fans, posted a lovely throwback picture of the two of them. He wrote, “Today would have been our 22nd wedding anniversary. Jaan… My wife, my soulmate, the epitome of love, grace , warmth and laughter lives within me forever..” Meanwhile, on the professional front, Janhvi will be making her big Bollywood debut with Dhadak, which is the Hindi adaptation of the popular Marathi film, Sairat. Ishaan Khatter, who made an impressive debut this year with Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds, will be starring opposite her. The film is said to release on July 20 this year.
