Industrial night power tariff rebate Increases to Rs. 2.50 per unit

Nagpur News: December 26. MERC has accepted the proposal of MSEDCL to increase the night rebate to Rs. 2.50 per unit from the present Re. 1 per unit.

It may be recalled that VIA and all other associations had made a strong plea to the Government and MERC for reducing the industrial tariff since the industries were losing their competitive edge. MERC has accepted the demand of the Industries Association. The night rebate will be applicable from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. w.e.f. from January 1^st till 31^st March 2013 and will be further extended after analysis of cost benefit to MSEDCL says a press note issued by R B Goenka Chairman Energy Cell of VIA
