Nagpur: The 79th Indian Road Congress beginning from November 22 to 25 at Divisional Sports Complex Stadium in Mankapur here, has hit another rough patch. Even as the allegations of gross irregularities in allotting tenders for IRC were yet to cool down, the event kicked up another storm as one of the female delegates who arrived at the venue to attend the mega event was spotted smoking at the venue premises.
Even as a picture showing the lady participant smoking at the venue came up, the veracity of the event is being questioned. The identity of this woman delegate was not immediately known but the picture has been drawing huge criticism from various quarters.
“Now what kind of message does these so called high profile delegates wanted to give by smoking in the premises and that too in full public view. Are they trying to prove that they are the lords who will run the event on their own whims and fancies,” questioned a well-known businessman who chose not to be named.
In the picture, the young woman, dressed in blue and black is seen having the puff at the welcome gate at the stadium.
