Srinagar: In a major operation, the India Army today said it has conducted punitive strikes along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and destroyed many Pakistani posts.
The Army said punitive fire assaults are being undertaken across the LoC. “The Indian Army proactively dominates LoC, we want peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Army said in a statement.
“The recent actions in Naushera have caused damage to Pakistan army posts,” the Army said as it released videos of Indian artillery destroying Pakistani bunkers on the hills.
Army spokesperson Major General Ashok Narula said the Pakistan army has been providing support to armed infiltrators in Jammu and Kashmir.
“As snow over the mountains melts and the passes to India open, there are fears of infiltration increasing in the region,” he said.
