Nagpur: In yet another cyber crime, two persons tricked and robbed an ICICI Bank account holder of his cash. Cops have booked the two tricksters, including a woman, and searching for them.
According to police, the victim Sachin Ramesh Golchha, resident of Golchha Road, Sadar, Nagpur received calls from a company named Honester Group on his mobile 919711157955 informing him that his Coral Credit Card is ready. Sachin received the calls over a period from 29.10.14 to 28.11.14. The callers Madhavi Ahuja and Ravi told Sachin that he will receive the Coral Credit Card at his residence without any charge. After winning Sachin’s confidence, the two accused Madhavi Ahuja and Ravi sought his OTP (One-Time Passward) Number. Unmindful of the trap, Sachin divulged his OTP Number to the accused. Armed with the OTP Number, the two accused Madhavi Ahuja and Ravi withdrew Rs 15,933 from Sachin’s ICICI Bank account and thus duped him.
Sadar Senior PSI Hiwrale, based on Sachin’s complaint, booked the two accused Madhavi Ahuja and Ravi under Section 406 of the IPc and searching for them.
