ICAD students clear JEE Main with flying colours

Three ICADians emerge Vidarbha toppers

Nagpur: ICAD student Eeshaan Jain topped Vidarbha with AIR-120 securing 99.993 percentile in the recently declared JEE Main 2019 final results. Eeshan also secured 100 percentile in Mathematics. Similarly, second topper Chinmay Ratnaparkhi, also an ICADian secured AIR-197 with 99.987 percentile. Chinmay is selected for International Chemistry Olympiad Training Camp. He is among top 42 students of the country to achieve this feat.

Another ICAD student Atharva Warhade, emerged third topper from Vidarbha, securing AIR-245 with 99.983 percentile. Atharva topped the city in OBC category with AIR 27, and achieved 100 percentile in Mathematics. While fifth topper Vedant Saboo secured AIR-344 scoring 99.976 percentile. He secured 100 percentile in Mathematics and Chemistry. Rahul Pathak with AIR-973 and 99.926%ile also secured position in first 1000 AIRs. All these tppers, who are students of ICAD have also been selected for KVPY fellowship this year. Overall, five ICADians secured place in the first 1000 All India Rank.

It must be noted that the girl’s topper from Nagpur, Ms Kalyani Sainis, is also a student ICAD. She secured AIR-1680 with 99.866%ile. Kalyani has also qualified Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO).

Out of total 645 students, 478 qualified the examination. These students are eligible to appear forJEE Advanced and will be competing with around 2.24 lakh JEE Main qualified students across India for approximately 12000 seats in the prestigious IITs.

Commenting on the success, ICAD Director, Sarang Upganlawar said, ‘’Hats off to hardworking ICADians and their parents!!! Thousands of students of the region worked hard consistently for two years to qualify JEE (Main) and make their parents and region proud. I wish them all the best for JEE (Advanced)’’.
