Jerusalem: PM Narendra Modi meets Moshe Holtzberg, the now 11-year-old survivor of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, in Jerusalem.

The boy reads out a statement in English with a smattering of Hindi — ‘Namaste to the PM of Hindustan. Aapka Swagat Hai Humari Country Mein’.

Modi puts his arm around the boy’s shoulder and asks him to visit India with his family. Moshe ends his statement with a sweet, ‘Dear Mr Modi, I love you and your people in India’. The PM also promised a long-stay visa to the boy.

Israeli PM Netanyahu who was with Modi when he met Moshe tells the boy he ha just accepted the India PM’s invite to India and he could join him during his visit to India.

Moshe’s nanny Sandra Samuels who escaped the attack on the Chabad House during the Mumbai terror strike was also present at the occasion.

The grandfather of 2008 Mumbai attacks survivor, Rabbi Holzberg Nachman, in his message to visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the leader to continue the legacy of kindness and make the country more secure.

Talking to a news agency ahead of his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Nachman said, “This is a big day for us and the family. I welcome the Prime Minister here.”

He said that his son Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka, who were killed in the terror attack, lost their lives because of their good deeds and urged the Indian leader to continue that legacy and make the country more secure.
