Nagpur: Ajni police have booked husband, in-laws and one other person on the charges of indulging in cruel acts and tormenting a woman over dowry money.
The accused Nayan Santosh Kamble (34, husband), Santosh Pundlikrao Kamble (67, father-in-law), Shanta Santosh Kamble (63, mother-in-law), all residents of Chandramani Nagar, and Hemchand Khaire (39) of Shatabdi Nagar, asked the complainant woman (24) to bring money from her parents often. However, when the woman failed to meet their demands, the accused started indulging in cruel acts by tormenting her mentally and physically between 28.10.2014 and 4.9.2016. Moreover, when the woman’s father and sister went to the house of accused, they refused their entry and even molested the sister by vulgar acts. The accused even thrashed the father and sister of the woman and threatened to kill them.
Ajni PSI N B Gawande, based on the victimized woman’s complaint, has booked the accused under Sections 498(A), 354, 294, 506(B), 323, 34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
