Air Force Civilian Cultural Programme on the theme “Unity in Diversity” was organised at Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force on 07 November 2014 at Open Air Force Theatre, Vayesena Nagar, Nagpur.
The programme was presented by approximate 125 civilian personnel of various Air Force Units and Depots under the Maintenance Command.
Air Marshal P Kanakaraj Ati Vishisht Seva Medal VIshisht Seva Medal Aide-de-Camp, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Nagpur was the Chief Guest on the occasion. All Air Warriors, Air Force Civilian and their families witnessed the event. Participants put up a mosaic of cultural heritage by displaying their skills in Garba, Gondhal and Bihu. This was matched with a Qawalli and Skit. GN Pandey from 3 BRD, Devesh Swarup from 29 ED and Bapi Chakraborty of AFLC (BKP) belted solo numbers which were well appreciated. Km Arti Devi’s Solo Dance was the highlight of the presentation from AF Stn Kanpur. Defence PRO Wg Cdr Samir Gangakhedkar intimated that such events provide a platform for talented personnel to showcase their artistic skills. The event is also an opportunity for a healthy interaction and building long lasting relationships among personnel of various units of Maintenance Command which are spread around the Country.
