Nagpur: A housemaid reportedly “cleaned” the locker of her woman employer and decamped with cash of Rs 3.50 lakh. The theft took place between June 20, 2016 and September 2, 2016 in the Shankar Nagar residence of the woman employer. The accused burglar is now being searched intensely by Sitabuldi cops.
The complainant, Jyoti Prabhakar Bawne (54), resident of Flat No. 401, Block No. 3, Poonam Apartment, Shankar Nagar, had kept the cash of Rs 3.50 lakh in the locker of a cupboard in bedroom three months ago for medical treatment and possible emergencies. Recently, Jyoti faced some monetary difficulties and remembered the cash kept in the locker. However, when she checked the locker, she found the cash missing. Jyoti suspects her housemaid Sapana Meshram burgled the booty.
