House, tyre shop burgled, booty worth over Rs 2 lakh stolen

Burglar struck at a house and tyre shop and relieved the owners to the tune of over Rs 2 lakh. No arrests have made so far.

In the first incident, the house owner Tulsabai Nagorao Nimje (70), resident of Patlipura, Timki, had gone to her son’s Minimata Nagar residence on Tuesday. In the meanwhile, between 3.30 pm of Tuesday and 8.30 am of Wednesday, unidentified burglar(s) entered into Tulsabai’s house by removing kavelu (tiles) of terrace. Once inside, the intruder broke open the locker of almirah and decamped with cash of Rs 1,60,000.

Tehsil PSI Raut registered an offence against the unidentified burglar(s) under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and searching for them.

In the second incident, Sanket Umesh Khadilkar (33), resident of Plot No. 7A, Tilak Nagar, closed his Hindustan Motor Tyre Shop, located on Mount Road, Sadar around 8 pm and went home. Meanwhile, some criminals broke open the lock of shop’s door and gained entry into eat. The cash of Rs 46,950, a mobile phone, set top box collectively valued at Rs 54,840 were stolen by the thieves.

Sadar PSI Jamdade has booked the burglars under Sections 457, 380 of IPC and searching for them.
