Nagpur: In an incident of house-breaking that occurred in Mirey Layout under Sakkardara police station on the night of July 27-28, the thieves made away with gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 38,000.
According to police, complainant Krishna Kamble, 32 years, resident of Mirey Layout, Sakkardara, had locked his house on July 27 and gone out of Nagpur with his family.
Taking a chance, the unidentified thieves broke into his house and took away gold ornaments and cash Rs 7000, in all valuables worth Rs 38,000 from the safe of his bedroom.
He discovered the theft when he returned home on July 28. Krishna immediately lodged a complaint with Sakkardara police station. Further investigation is underway.
