The Hislop College Sports Department, for the first time, is organizing the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Inter-Collegiate Chess (Men/Women) Tournament 2013.
The tournamnet will be inaugurated on September, 6, 2013 at the hands of an ex-Hislopian, a renowed badminton player and the Secretary of Vidarbha Chess Association Mangesh Kashikar. The guest of honour will be Dr. D Wellukar, Director, RTMNU Physicsal Education Department.
Dr. Dipti Christian, Principal, Hislop College, Dr. Kalpana Jadhav are the Conveners of this tournament and Dr. Amit Kanwar, Teacher In Charge will also be present at the function. The inauguration of this event will be held at 3:00 pm. About 70 colleges in men’s section and 50 from the women’s section are participating in this tournament. The officials to conduct this tournament are from Vidarbha Chess Association. Sanjay Ramteke, Anil Wadatkar, Jeet, Suhail Khan, Ankit Nawrang are the back up team for the tournament. This tournament will be held at the newly constructed multipurpose hall of the College.
