Junior engineer caught red-handed taking bribe

A 40-year-old junior engineer of Narkhed has been arrested while allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 7000 for providing new electricity connection at the complainant’s poultry farm. The trap was set up by Anti-corruption Bureau officials at Narkhed bus stop on Thursday evening.
Ganesh Rewatkar, 30, a resident of Wadegaon, Narkhed had filed a complaint at ACB alleging junior engineer Dhiraj Nandeshwr, 40, has demanded cash Rs 7000 to provided new electricity metres at his poultry farm in Narkhed. As told by cops, Rewatkar agreed to Nandeshwar’s demand and called him at bus stop to take the money.
ACB sleuths, who had set up the trap at the bus stop, nabbed Nandeshwar while he was taking the cash. Police are yet to check Nandeshwar’s residence.
