Have MIDC police buckled after a “fake show-off” against guilty Neco bosses?

After lapsing of considerable time, the red-hot furnace explosion, has been thrown into cold storage with a great force by the bountiful Neco management, and the inactive MIDC police, too. This is a simple chemistry. The perfect chemistry between money and political powers and the ever ready bowing police under the weight of muscles of powerful Neco management and their long reach to the doors of political bosses. And, of course, under the weight of crisp papers called the currency!!!

Nagpur News: Jaiswal’s Neco Industries Limited, which was in the headlines for an explosion in the furnace of their steel plant few days ago that claimed life of a worker and left dozen others injured, is, it appears, “successfully” avoided the MIDC police action or forced the police to become inactive by hook or crook for obvious reasons. (One can say for a bounty).

It may be recalled that an explosion had occurred in the furnace of the company’s plant due to leakage in a section of the furnace and the wire coils had come in contact with water. The chain reaction had triggered a big blast and the red-hot lava trapping many labourers and inflicting them with severe burn injuries. The men were rushed to a hospital in serious condition. However, one labour succumbed to the burn injuries

However, at that time the MIDC police supposedly acted “tough” by booking the Neco management and other officials under Section 304(a) of IPC. The Section generally is slapped for a death of a worker by negligence on the part of the particular factory or plant management and their other officials. The MIDC police, it appears for certain, in a “fake show-off” had formally booked  the Neco management and other officials for selectively neglecting the safety aspect by neither providing safety gears to the men working in the furnace department nor took measures to avert such kind of tragedies. The police had also slapped various other offences against the Jaiswal’s Neco Industries Limited management and officials under various relevant Sections of IPC.

However, after lapsing of considerable time, the red-hot furnace explosion, has been thrown into cold storage with a great force by the bountiful Neco management, and the inactive MIDC police, too. This is a simple chemistry. The perfect chemistry between money and political powers and the ever ready bowing police under the weight of muscles of powerful Neco management and their long reach to the doors of political bosses. And, of course, under the weight of crisp papers called the currency. The inference was aptly drawn from the fact that neither the police nor the Neco management are coming clean over the further developments on the serious issue.

Whenever a scribe tries to contact the Neco management or MIDC police for further information on the case, he or she is dodged either by whimsical answers or no answers at all by giving reasons beyond imagination of the scribe.

On the other hand, the injured workers and a relative of the dead worker have gone radio silent, again for obvious reasons. The workers have not been uttering a single word against the management or the officials either under police pressure or money power. However, the truth can never be hidden. It comes out at an appropriate time.  Whatever the powers be.
