Nagpur: Shrikhande Test tube Baby & Surrogacy Centre has organized hands on IUI workshop for the benefit of young upcoming gynecologists. Training was imparted to the attending doctors on various methods of semen preparation, how to set up their own IUI laboratory, how to select & monitor these patients, best methods for developing eggs, interpretation of semen analysis report & various other aspects related to IUI.
Lead faculty was Dr Laxmi Shrikhande -Director Shrikhande Test tube Baby & Surrogacy Centre who is doing IUI treatment since last 26 years. More than thousand childless couples have been benefited by this treatment. She is regularly invited to speak on this topic at various conferences all over India.
Another Lead faculty for the workshop was Dr Kersi Avari along with Dr. Ruma Chokroborty from Dubai. Dr.Kersi Awri is Ph. D in Reproductive Endocrinology from Mumbai. He has more than 26 years experience in the technique & is invited faculty all over India.
IUI is the first step cost effective treatment in managing infertile couples with 20% success rate if done properly. Even doctors practicing in remote areas can offer these services if they are trained in it. Problems of both husband & wife can be very well managed by IUI technique.
Remaining childless is the biggest social curse faced by these couples. It puts them under lots of social stigma & mental stress. This workshop was a step towards achieving their much desired dream of having a baby of their own that too in their budget.
