Nagpur: A criminal did not rob an elderly man. He “demanded” his gold chain and ring on a sly pretext and then coolly vanished from the scene. The old man is now cursing his luck.
The complainant Thakurdas Budhwani (62), resident of Indora Colony, was on Sunday strolling nearby his residence. An unidentified miscreant approached Thakurdas and scared him by telling that he could be robbed of his gold chain and ring worth Rs 60000. The goon asked Thakurdas to remove his gold stuff and hand it over to him. The booty will be returned near Thakurdas’s house. Believing the ruffian, Thakurdas handed over the gold chain and ring to him. The moment Thakurdas gave his gold booty, the goon vanished from the scene by diverting the old man’s attention.
Jaripatka police have booked the unidentified goon and looking for him.
