Nagpur: Taking a cue from Bollywood masala film, a 43-year old man enacted a scary drama and extorted Rs 2,91,000 from a middle aged man over a threat that he has been given “Supari” (Contract) to kill him and his parents. The accused man has been booked and a hunt is on to nab him.
According to details, the accused Ravikant Ganesh Khobragade (43), resident of Plot No. 222, near Narayan School, Sant Lahanu Nagar, Nagpur, with a diabolic plan, approached Sunil Devrao Sukhdeve (49), resident of Vighnaharta Annexe, Khare Town, Dharampeth. The accused Ravikant scared Sunil Sukhdeve with a story that he has been given Rs 3 lakh “Supari” (Contract) to kill him and his parents. The accused Ravikant told Sunil that he can save him and his parents. With this scare, the accused Raviaknt Khobragade extorted Rs 2,91,000 by cash and through ATM from Sunil Sukhdeve over a period from January 2014 to August 2014. But the scary drama of the accused Ravikant did not last long as Sunil soon realized that it was just a scare. Subsequently, Sunil lodged a complaint with Jaripatka Poilce Station in this connection.
Jaripatka PSI Raut has booked the accused Ravikant Khobragade under Sections 386, 506(B) of the IPC and searching for him.
