Goods worth Rs 16.40 lakh stolen from electric company in Mankapur

Steel and iron goods worth Rs 16.40 belonging to an electric company were burgled by a gang of miscreants from Rajnagar area of the city. No arrests have been made in this connection.

The complainant Ravishankar Prakashchandra Mishra (29), resident of Railway Coach Factory Quarters, Chandwad, Bhopal (MP) works in Power Estimation Limited, Gujarat. The company is carrying out works at Electric Sub-Station in the premises of National Fire Engineering College in Rajnagar.  The gang of burglars struck at the godown of the company by breaking open angles of a window and decamped with plates, vertical bolts, original bends, copper forms and other material worth Rs 16.40 lakh between June 6, 2015 and September 16, 2015. When the theft came to notice of Ravishankar Mishra, he filed a complaint with Mankapur Police Station.

API Patil has booked the unidentified burglars under Sections 461, 380 of IPC and probing the matter further.
