Nagpur: The prominent Government hospitals in the Orange City always remain in news for the prevailing mismanagement at its premises. Now the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has added another loophole to its system. The contractor at the parking lot is reportedly overcharging from the visitors parking their vehicles in the premises. The parking charge for two-wheelers is more than what is printed on the parking tickets.
While the charges mentioned in the parking coupon is Rs 3 for two-wheelers, the authorities demand Rs 5. Not only this, if you visit GMCH on multiple occasions in a single day you are compiled to pay Rs 5 for every visit. This has been the matter of concern for past several months for the relatives of the patients who are admitted in the hospital. Also there is no facility of issuing monthly pass to the daily visitors.
When asked one does not get a satisfactory answers.
When Nagpur Today contacted Dr Abhimanyu Niswade Dean (GMCH) he refused to talk about it.
