Nagpur: A 23-year old girl was raped by two men at separate places in Yashodhara Nagar police jurisdiction between April 15 and June 26, 2022.
According to police, the accused Kamar Ali Karanjawala (45), resident of Plot No. 109/C, Hudco Colony, on April 15 called the 23-year old girl to his house on the pretext of handing over her educational documents. However, when she went to the house of the accused, he raped her forcibly. The accused also doled out a threat to kill her family members if she opened her mouth.
Similarly, another accused Asif Sheikh, resident of Plot No. 420, Yashodhara Nagar, called the victim girl to his house on June 26 on the pretext of settlement with the accused Kamar Ali. When the girl went to Asif’s house, he also raped her.
Yashodhara Nagar API Kose, based on the complaint lodged by the victim girl, booked both the accused Kamar Ali Karanjawala and Asif Sheikh under Sections 376, 323, 504, 506(B), 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further. No accused has been arrested as yet.
