Gigantic tree comes crashing down at T-Point near Morris College crushing tea shop at spot

Nagpur News: A gigantic tree came crashing down creating a sort of tremors and sending police and fire brigade personnel on “Operation Rescue and Relief Mission” of tree itself not the human beings. However, the fallen tree caused a loss of Rs 2000 to “Chai Thela” owners.

According to Police Control Room and the Fire Brigade, the mammoth tree fell at T-Point near Morris College in the morning. The Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot at about 10.15 am and started the operation to cut the tree into pieces on war-footing as the fallen tree could have created problems for traffic.

According to Fire Brigade Control Room, the crashed down tree caused a loss of Rs 2000 to tea shop owners Samir and Aziz Khan, residing near a Masjid in front of Morris College. The tea shop, luckily not opened, was crushed to smithereens under the weight of the gigantic tree.

According to Chief Fire Officer of Fire Brigade Rajendra Uchke, when he going to his office, he saw the fallen tree was being removed by the Fire Brigade personnel. He put the reason for crashing down of tree to the weak foundation of the tree which got weaker and weaker by rains and gale. A fire tender was also rushed to spot, he said.
