German Club signs Mallika Bhandarkar

International paddler Mallika Bhandarkar has added one more feather to her cap. She has been signed by a German club Torpedo Gottingen. Mallika will represent the club in the German League this season.

Malllika had suffered injury to her right shoulder. However, after one year of layoff she has been signed by Torpedo Gottingen in Frankfurt. A few Indian players have got this opportunity to represent an international club. Mallika will get training by international coach Peter Engle for an year. She will be leaving for Barcelona in Spain on August 7, where she will be attending a special training camp for 15 days.

Mallika has represented India at various national and international tournaments. She had won several medals and also brought laurels to the country. Mallika is the first Indian to represent India at the Youth Olympics. She had represented Asia at the world championships and had won a gold medal. Mallika is the only girl from Maharashtra to win the national championship for four times in all the categories. She had visited more then 30 countries to represent India at various international tournaments.
