Gang of juvenile criminals involved in house-breakings, chain-snatchings, vehicle lifting busted

In a notable action, Ajni police busted a gang of juvenile criminals involved in house-breakings, chain-snatching and vehicle lifting. Cops have solved 8 crimes and recovered four vehicles and 45 grammes gold collectively worth Rs 1.52 lakh from possession of the arrested criminals.

On the trail of criminals involved in various crimes, cops scanned footage of a CCTV camera at a crime spot. They noticed a boy riding silver-coloured motorcycle. Looking at the body build up of the boy, cops suspected him to be a juvenile criminal Vijay (name changed) involved in thefts, house-breakings etc. On the basis of the clue, cops detained him and subjected him to intense interrogation. The accused juvenile confessed and spilled names of two other juveniles Dinesh and Ramesh (both names changed) involved in house-breakings, chain-snatching and vehicle lifting.

With the busting of gang of three juvenile criminals, cops solved 8 cases of the crime taken place at Ajni, Hudkeshwar and Sonegaon police jurisdictions. Police have recovered four vehicles and 45-gram gold collectively worth Rs 1.52 lakh fro possession of detained juveniles. Further probe is under way to solve more crimes possibly perpetrated by the gang.

The task was achieved by API Sandeep Dhobe, ASI Nandkishore Hinge, NPCs Shailesh Bedodekar, Bhagwati Thakur, sepoys Prashant Sonulkar, Ashish Raut under the guidance of DCP Zone 4 Chaitanya S, ACP Kapgate and Senior PI Shailesh Sankhe.
