Gadkari blames wrong policies of Centre, State for record-breaking inflation, scams, corruption

Nagpur News: The former BJP National President Nitin Gadkari has gone on Lok Sabha election mode and slammed the Congress Governments at the Centre and in State for record-breaking price rise, scams, and corruption. “The wrong policies of both Central and State Government have led to unprecedented inflation that has been hitting common people hard. Apart from high price rise, scams, corruption, the safety and security of womenfolk has emerged as the biggest concern for the society,” Gadkari said.

The senior party leader gate-crashed the meeting of party’s City Executive unexpectedly on Thursdaynight. Gadkari was to fly to Delhi by night flight. But before leaving to national capital, Gadkari reached the meeting at 8 pm and thus pleasantly surprising the party leaders and workers with his presence.

“The party leaders and workers must gear up for Lok Sabha elections on war-footing and pay attention to lists of voters booth-wise in a systematic manner. The party leaders and workers should strive hard to inform the voters about people-oriented works by party organization, Municipal Corporation, present and past BJP Governments in States. I have full confidence that the hard working leaders and workers of party will make the future of their organization bright. The increasing participation of women in politics is good sign for politics itself and BJP, too,” Gadkari said.

The meeting of City BJP was convened at 7 pm at party’s office near Tilak Statue in Mahal on Thursdayto take stock of the situation in view of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The hall was full to the brim with party leaders and workers. Those who were present on dais include City BJP President Krishna Khopde, MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh, Mayor Anil Sole, Organising Secretary Shrikant Deshpande, General Secretary Rajesh Bagdi, Prabhakar Yevale, Sandeep Joshi, Pramod Pendke, Sudhakar Kohale, NIT Trusty Chhotu Bhoyar, NMC’s Standing Committee Chairman Avinash Thakre, Ruling Party Leader in NMC Pravin Datke, Girish Deshmukh and others.

The Divisional President Kailash Chute, Vicky Kukreja, Sanjay Bangale, Kishore Wankhede, General Secretary Shyam Chandekar were presenting reports of various people-oriented programmes the party had organized when Gadkari reached the venue.

The General Secretary Rajesh Bagdi informed the meeting about various programmes to be organized like “Melawas” of Booth Executive by Yuva Moracha on January 25 at Chitnis Park and at Reshimbagh Ground on February 2, house to house campaign, and musical programme of renowned singer and actor Manoj Tiwari at Sardar Vallabhbhai Ground in east Nagpur by North Indians Front of the party onFebruary 15.

The meeting was also attended by Executive members Shripad Risaldar, Dayashankar Tiwari, Dr Kirtida Ajmera, Bunti Kukde, Sudhir Hirde, Manisha Kothe, Jyoti Janabandhu, Maya Hade, Abdul Qadir, Afi Khan and others.
