Chicken Makhanwala is an Indian dish of chicken in a mildly spiced curry sauce. It is served in India and abroad. The dish has its roots in Punjabi cuisine and was developed by the Moti Mahal restaurant in Delhi, India.

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken [cut into pieces]
50 gms curd
½ tsp chili powder Marinate for 3 to 4 hrs
1 tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp edible orange color
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Ghee
80 gms butter
4 green chilies [chopped]
½ tsp chili powder
¼ cup tomato puree
100 gms curd
Salt to taste
5 almonds [fine chipped]
10 cashew nuts [fine chopped]
2 tbsp coriander leaves
100 gms cream.

Method:
Heat ghee in a sauce pan, add chicken and marinade and cook till chicken is well done.
Take a small pan and put ghee in it add green chilies and chili powder.
Add it into chicken and cook for 5-10 mins.
Mix in tomato puree, butter, curd and salt. Stir and simmer.
When the gravy thickens, add nuts, cream, and coriander.
Mix well. Serve hot with butter naan and jeera rice and enjoy.
