Four youths held for stealing cell-phones worth Rs 28.39 lakh from City Collection Mobile Shoppe

Nagpur News: Sitabuldi police arrested four youths for looting 84 brand new mobile phone sets worth Rs 28.39 lakh from a mobile shop on Wednesday. The six accused, four of which have been arrested, worked at City Collection Mobile Shoppe, owned by Sanjay Harishchandra Varma (42), a resident of Talao Road, Khamgaon, Buldhana.

The accused are identified as Dinesh Ashokkumar Daswani (18), a resident of Chawla Chowk, Jaripatka; Rahul Abhimanyu Waswani (21), a resident of Setipa square, Jaripatka; Jaikishan Dilip kumar Boneja (29), a resident of Ahuja Nagar; Raju Sudhakar Parate (23), and Deepak Shelar. The accused started working at the shoppe a few days ago. The accused, very smoothly and without getting noticed from Varma, stole brand new handsets of Samsung and other companies. But, Varma noticed the theft through CCTV footage.

Varma immediately informed Sitabuldi Police who acted on a tip-off and PSI Geete arrested Dinesh Daswani and Rahul Waswani. During the preliminary investigations, the two spilled the beans and informed about others involved in the theft. They informed the cops that after stealing all the 84 handsets, they handed them to a dealer Hemant Lalwani (21), a resident near Jaripatka Cemetery. On the given information, Cops later arrested Jaikishan Boneja and Hemant Lalwani while other two accused Raju Parate and Deepak Shelar are still absconding. Cops have launched a search for the other accused and have registered an offence under Section 381 and 34 of the IPC against the accused. Further investigations are under way.
