Four minor boys and girls were reportedly kidnapped from different areas of city. Cops from various police stations have launched searches to trace the missing kids.
In the first incident, a 14 year old boy Shadab Raul Qureshi, son of Raul Abdul Qureshi (40), tenant of Papa Patel, Controlwadi, MIDC area, Nagpur, on Tuesday (December 9) left home for going to a Madarsa in Tajbagh area. However, Shadab did not return home. Ironically, Shadab was spotted by one of his relatives around 1 pm on Thursday (December 11) wandering near Balaji Nagar Petrol Pump on Hingna Road. When told to go home, Shadab lamented of father’s berating and later vanished from the scene. He did not return home till date nor was seen anywhere despite a search at all possible places by his father and other relatives.
MIDC PSI Wankhede, following the Supreme Court directives that if any minor girl or boy goes missing then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and is searching to trace the 14-year old Shadab.
Similarly, 16-year old boy Vikramsingh, son Vishnusingh Hirasingh Kohre (38), tenant of Shantabai Shendre, Gond Mohalla, Surendragadh, Gittikhadan went missing since 26.5.2013. Vikramsingh left home without informing anyone in the house and has not returned till date. He is missing.
Gittikhadan PSI Kaore has registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and has launched a hunt to trace the 16-year old Vikramsingh.
A 20-year old youth Arif Sayyed, resident of Boriyapura, Nagpur lured a 16-year old girl with marriage promise and took her away from legal custody of her father on Friday. The girl has since then not returned to her home. Based on a kidnapping complaint, Tehsil Senior PSI Gaekwad has booked the accused Arif Sayyed under Sections 363, 366 of the IPC and searching to nab him and trace the girl.
Similarly, a 22-year old youth Pankaj Raman Dongre, native of Katangi, District Gondia, abducted a 17-year old girl from Jaripatka area of city on 29.11.14 by luring her with marriage promise. The girl has since then not traceable.
Jaripatka PSI Hanvate has booked the accused Pankaj Dongre under Section 363 of the IPC and hunting him.
