Four goons abduct young boy, extort Rs 1 lakh

Nagpur: In a shocking incident, four criminals abducted a young boy and extorted Rs 1 lakh from him for his release. The goon also threatened to kill the boy and his family if he dared to lodge police complaint against them.

The four criminals, Amjad Khan Habib Khan (31), Atul Vikram Dhoble (30), both residents of Tajbagh, and their two other accomplices, initially demanded extortion money of Rs 1.50 lakh from the complainant Arjun Mahadevrao Shahane (25), resident of Hudkeshwar. The four goons frequently demanded the money but every time Arjun refused to part with the amount. Enraged by the refusal, the four goons, on December 2 around 5 pm, stopped Arjun in front of TVS Showroom, Suyog Nagar, and forced him to seat on their motorcycle. The accused took Arjun to a secluded place and detained him. Later, Arjun was subjected to severe thrashing and forced to part with Rs 1 lakh as extortion money. The goons also threatened to kill Arjun and his family if he lodged a police complaint against them. However, Arjun gathered courage and registered a case against the four abductors.

Ajni API Gawande has booked the four accused under Sections 363, 364(A), 386, 341, 506(B), 34 of IPC and launched a search to nab them.
