Nagpur: Four members of a family, including two women, have been arrested by Hudkeshwar police for abusing and thrashing a Woman Police Sub-Inspector and other staff while they were performing duty on Tuesday night. The four accused also threatened the cops to implicate them in false case.
In her complaint, the Woman PSI was present at Hudkeshwar Police Station as Night Duty Officer around 11 pm on Tuesday. She received a phone call from Beat Marshal No. 1 and called her for help in dealing crime case at Gajanan Nagar, Plot No. 68. Acting on the phone call, the Woman PSI reached the spot immediately. The moment she reached the spot, one of the accused Dheeraj Ramesh Bangre (36), resident of Darshan Colony, Nandanvan, assaulted her and beat her. Thereafter, other three accused namely Niraj Ramesh Bangre (32), Varsha Niraj Bangre and Rajani Ramesh Bangre (60) abused, heckled and thrashed the Woman PSI and other staff. Furthermore, the accused Rajani Bangre threatened the Woman PSI of implicating her in false case if she arrests her accused son Dheeraj Bangre. The four accused not only abused and bashed up the cops but also created obstructions in their official duty.
Based on the Woman PSI’s complaint, Hudkeshwar police booked the four accused family members under Sections 353, 354, 332, 294, 34 of the IPC and placed them under arrest. Further probe is underway.
