Bitumen Plant In-Charge killed as car rams roadside tree in Hingna

Nagpur: Plant In-Charge of Hingna-based Mondha Bitumen Plant was killed as the company’s car he was travelling in dashed against a roadside tree at Amgaon Deoli Road turning on Tuesday night. The driver of the car has been booked for rash driving and causing death of the Plant In-Charge.

According to the complainant Ganeshkumar Nakul Shahu (27), native of Sonari, district Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, but currently staying at Mondha Bitumen Plant in Hingna, the deceased Plant In-Charge Vinod Vashisht Singh (48), native of Jeliya, Saliya Hawrah, West Bengal but presently residing at PMA Construction, Mondha Panjhari, Nagpur, was travelling in company’s Mahindra car (MH-40/AK 7312) along with accused driver Ravi Mishra on Tuesday. After inspection of Deoli-Pendhri Road, Vinod Singh and the driver were returning to their company around 9 pm. As the driver Ravi Mishra was driving the car recklessly, he lost control over steering. As a result, the car dashed against a roadside tree at Amgaon-Deoli Road turning with great impact. Vinod Singh suffered critical injuries and died on the spot. The fate of the accused driver could not be known.

Hingna ASI Rajesh Ghuge booked the accused driver Ravi Mishra under Sections 279, 337, 304(A) of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
