Former US President George Bush dies at 94

Former United States President George Herbert Walker Bush has died at age 94, according to the family’s spokesperson.

The former president was hospitalised at Houston Methodist Hospital due to an infection that spread to his blood, his office said in a statement.

His hospitalisation came just one day after he laid his wife of 73 years, former First Lady Barbara Bush, to rest.

Bush, who served as 41st president of the US president from 1989 to 1993, has a form of Parkinson’s disease and used a motorised scooter or a wheelchair for mobility.
