Nagpur News: A man reportedly committed suicide by jumping into the Gandhisagar Lake (Shukrawari Talao) in Nagpur.
According to police, the man Suresh Janbaji Jumde (45), resident of Khairipura, Lalganj and flower vendor by profession, left the house at about 7.30 am on Saturday to open his flower shop located in Khairipura itself. However, Suresh, instead of opening his shop, went directly to the Gandhisagar Lake and jumped into it to death. Some nearby people noticed Suresh jumping into the lake and informed Ganeshpeth Police Station immediately. Police summoned diver Jagadish Khare for pulling the body of Suresh. When police checked Suresh’s pockets, they received some papers including the address. The police then informed the relatives of Suresh and sent the body for post-mortem. Police have registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter further.
