Five dupe people of Rs 6.96 lakh; booked

Nagpur News : Nagpur City is recording a rise in crime on a alarming rate. The graph of forgery, rapes, murders and thefts is going in an upward direction with no fluctuations. Adding to this graph, a case of forgery was recorded under the jurisdiction of Dhantoli Police Station on Monday.

Police said, accused owner of Shakti Realities Ritesh Shankarrao Bhat, Manager Preeti Bhat, Managing Director Rakesh Gokha, Executive Officer Laldhari Shahu and Executive Officer Ashish Bobde duped people of Rs 6.96 lakh. Police added, the accused sold a plot to Raviazad Vinayprasad Shahu (24), a resident of 46, SBI Colony, Barling layout, MIDC on installment basis under Shakti Realities situated at Priyanka Palace, Blok No. 45, Congress Nagar. Ravi paid installments on the name of Shakti Realities. It is alleged that the installments were not deposited in the company account and the accused misused their powers and duped Raviazad of Rs 2.66 lakh. It is alleged that the accused have also duped others of Rs 4.29 lakh since 2009. Thus, the accused duped Raviazad and others of Rs Rs 6.96 lakh.

On the complaint of Raviazad, Dhantoli Police Sub Inspector Walvi booked the accused and registered an offence under Sections 420 and 34 of the IPC, informed PI Shende.

Police are further investigating the case and searching for the accused.
